Sourcing ingredients locally and celebrating the surrounding Peak District is at the heart of our ethos at Peak Edge and the Red Lion Restaurant. Our passion for provenance, sustainability, and using only local, ethical produce is woven into everything we do, as we aim to deliver quality-led yet simple plates of food in a warm, hospitable environment for all the family to enjoy.
Wherever possible we showcase the produce direct from the landscape that surrounds us, including from our very own farm: Walton Lodge. Just less than a mile away, our 360-acre farm is home to a family of much loved, rare breed animals from Belted Galloway cattle to Dorset Lambs, all of which are reared on site. Our award-winning chefs work extremely closely with the farm, to achieve care and consistency from farm through to table.
We are proud to provide sustainable, seasonal, and local produce from independent businesses across the Peak District. Whether you try honey harvested from our hives, fresh fruit grown and picked from our gardens and fields nearby, or hand-reared produce from our farm, these values are infused into all our dishes.
