- Tell us a little about how you both met
-
We actually met at school, but we barely spoke back then. It wasn’t until years later, after we’d both left, that we properly got to know each other—and the rest is history.
- What first attracted you to Peak Edge Hotel?
-
We knew a few people who had celebrated their wedding at Peak Edge, and the photos looked absolutely beautiful. Being based in Sheffield, we loved that it’s so close to home, yet still feels like you’ve escaped to the countryside for something really special.
- Describe your wedding day in 3 words
-
Best. Party. Ever!
- What were the most important elements to you when planning your wedding day?
-
We wanted a relaxed, joyful day that felt like “us”—good food, good music, and plenty of time celebrating with the people we love. It was important that everything felt fun and stress-free, so we chose Peak Edge and our suppliers as we could trust they would focus on creating a day for us that everyone could enjoy.
- What was your favourite dish at the reception and why?
-
The strawberry and mascarpone cheesecake was the winner—sweet, fresh, and the perfect dessert for a May wedding!
- Did you have any specific moments during your reception that you particularly enjoyed?
-
The outdoor ceremony was unforgettable – we booked Peak Edge with the hope to get married outside as the grounds are beautiful, and the party in the evening was next level! The dance floor was full for most of the night, and the saxophone kicking in straight after our first dance was a total game-changer. Big shoutout to Jonny Ross Music for starting the party with a bang!
- What tips/advice would you give to our future couples?
-
Enjoy every second and don’t stress—the day will come together perfectly, especially with the team at Peak Edge looking after you. The day goes by in a flash, so take a few quiet moments just for the two of you. It’s your day, and those shared little moments are what make it truly unforgettable.
